The Best Weight Loss Advice So You Will Reach Your Weight Loss Goal
No one should ever give weight loss advice unless they have succeeded in losing weight and keeping it off themselves for the long term. After years of effort and yes success, I’ve finally decided that these tips are the advice most worth having if you want to lose weight.
Make a full commitment
Anything less won’t last the distance. Tell your self and those you love about your weight loss goals and ask them to support you and hold you accountable.
Seek professional advice
Find out about the healthiest eating plan and exercise plan for you and help too to set realistic short term and long term goals.
Reprogram your old thinking and self talk
Talk to yourself and others about your new lifestyle as ‘an opportunity to get healthy and be happy’, not a chore that will deprive you and make you miserable.
Celebrate your successes
Plan non-food treats when you reach scale weight or waist measurements goals along your weight loss path. Don’t expect others to notice your weight loss at first but enjoy this and thank them when they do!
Never agree on an eating plan where you are hungry
This is a very important piece of weight loss advice. You should be eating plenty of the right food regularly across every day so that your metabolic rate increases and you excess fat is used. Starving yourself will slow down your metabolism and your weight loss.
Be patient and know that weight loss will take time
If you’ve taken years to gain weight, you will take some time to lose this. That’s why deciding on the most enjoyable diet and lifestyle before you begin to lose weight is important. Even though you will need to eliminate or reduce some foods you may love from your diet you’ll still need to enjoy eating and living as you lose weight to last the distance.
Be realistic and know that weight loss is not always and consistent ‘drop’
Sometimes your weight loss will plateau out. Don’t read this a sign to give up. Persist with your eating plan and exercise, focus on other aspects of your life and when you next measure your waist, hips or step on the scales you’ll notice a difference.
This weight loss advice is the foundation on which I’ve built my long term healthy living program. I committed until this happened. I found some times tough and surprisingly some times easy as my weight just ‘fell off’. I have healthier but not excessively healthy lifestyle. I remain around my goal weight and know how to shed any extra pounds when they slip on. You can do this too!
