Only slelect a weight loss program that is nutritionally balanced.  Only experts can tell if you will get vitamins and nutrients you need so select expertly planned diets.

Find a diet that will give you long term results.  This will mean that your eating patterns will balance out by the time you reach a weight loss goal and you will only ever need to maintain this.

Include regular and moderate exercise with your weight loss plans.  The most effective and long term weight loss is always accompanied by exercise at least 3 times a week.  Just as you should only choose an enjoyable food plan, make sure the exercise you select is activity that you enjoy.
